All four of these stars belong to the great Donnie Yen!!!
I'm so late to the party, but the action in JW 4 is absolutely phenomenal and puts all other American action movies to shame. I love that the JW franchise continues to cast martial arts legends like Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, and Hiroyuki Sanada rather than going for the biggest names. The half-hour Osaka sequence at the beginning of JW 4 is jaw-dropping stuff, probably my favorite sequence in the franchise. The other action set-pieces in Acts 2 and 3 are incredible as well, but I still feel (as with the last two movies) that the talking sequences go on waaaaay too long for what they are. Cut this down to a crisp 2 hours and 15 minutes, and I'd be rewatching JW 4 every day of the week.
This has also single-handedly reignited my desire to plow through a bunch of martial arts movies. I've seen some of the biggies (Ip Man, The Raid, etc), but drop me some recommendations in the comments if there are any I should bump to the top of the list.
