Every film on this list is a film I thought about including on my Sight & Sound Top 10 at some point between receiving an invitation to contribute and submitting my final ballot, but I ultimately decided against each and every one of these films. I love these films, and if your favorite is on it, you should feel secure in that knowledge. If your favorite is not on this list, it might be in my top 10! But it might also be garbage.
