I was not disappointed but I wasn't fully satisfied!
Because this film is Scarlet Witch chasing Dr. Strange and America Chavez across the multiverse, this film felt more like multiverse hijinks rather than the first major clue of what's coming next!
On a more positive note, if this film's purpose was to more in depth explain the MCU's rules of the multiverse, then I think this film achieved it's goal excellently! It provided lore and context clues, and rules that I do believe will be important down the line!
Also, I liked how this film put a little focus on smaller multiverse details; by that I mean people usually picture the multiverse with big changes but really multiverses are built around small changes (like the color of traffic lights for example).
The illuminati, though their time was brief, I thought the multiverse characters and cameos were excellent and used very well!
While I don't think she had a lot of time to shine, I really enjoyed America Chavez and I look forward to seeing more of her in the MCU!
Overall, I thought Multiverse of Madness was fine and enjoyable but I was expecting more of the bigger picture and what we got was more of a stepping stone. Looking forward to more multiverse fun!
