Wonderfully helmed foreign thriller that plunges into the depths of the human condition. As a special agent tracks and tortures the serial killer that murdered his fiancée.
The film has several disturbing and gruesome set pieces that are fantastically handled and superbly performed by the actors and director. Granted I often thought the film ever quite had the substance to warrant the natiness. That aside though, the film is simply compelling has wonderful cinematography. Chilling filmmaking at it's strongest.
