    pretty damn good. hits a lot of the raw emotion I hoped it would. maybe one layer of structure too convoluted (felt like it lost a little momentum in the middle) but I absolutely love how much contempt this movie seems to have for its own existence. i like it a lot. some aspects I was not sold on but they really swung for the fences and I appreciate that because this movie would've sucked crap if they hadn't

    Might get bumped up to 5. Can't believe I didn't like it that much the first time. Very sick to watch this right after 2001 especially since (I did not know this until now) he made this as an antithesis to/reverse of 2001. humans descending back to their primordial form

    simon nick and myles were watching this again and i joined halfway through and ended up staying around again for the entire rest of it. it's just so fun dude, it's so refreshing to see a non-marvel superhero movie that feels (to me) like it was made by someone who actually cared about it. mercifully free of stupid quips, unabashedly stupid as hell. the cgi in this completely works on me and looks awesome. sorry
