realizing now why tenet felt off and it's because it had no emotion and this does. ya it's the smart movie for dumb guys but wow it's just great

  • Climax

Might get bumped up to 5. Can't believe I didn't like it that much the first time. Very sick to watch this right after 2001 especially since (I did not know this until now) he made this as an antithesis to/reverse of 2001. humans descending back to their primordial form

i have to say I cannot fucking stand gaspar noe as a person. he is marilyn manson level shock and I hate the other movie of his that I've seen.…

  • Zack Snyder's Justice League

    Zack Snyder's Justice League

simon nick and myles were watching this again and i joined halfway through and ended up staying around again for the entire rest of it. it's just so fun dude, it's so refreshing to see a non-marvel superhero movie that feels (to me) like it was made by someone who actually cared about it. mercifully free of stupid quips, unabashedly stupid as hell. the cgi in this completely works on me and looks awesome. sorry

  • Skeleton Man

    Skeleton Man

in a behind the scenes featurette of this michael rooker says that the first time he felt rage was when he realized there were other people named michael

  • Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

    Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

haven't had a movie make me laugh this hard in a very very long time

  • The Raid 2

    The Raid 2

Wow. The fighting in the first one is incredible, the fighting in this one is nauseating and suffocating. Heart pounding and edge of my seat for real
Was a little too long and the plot was a little too convoluted, but jeez dude lol. This thing is formidable. The best fighting I have ever seen in a movie bar none

  • Trick 'r Treat

    Trick 'r Treat

soooooo good and fun made me feel like a little kid again. halloween rules the movie rules and I can't believe it got shafted by warner bros. a new fav

  • A Nightmare on Elm Street

    A Nightmare on Elm Street

so fun. dialogue is genuinely hysterically bad but the horror stuff is pretty creepy and cool. page pointed out johnny depps mom wakes him up to tell him to go to bed and i think that's the funniest thing ever

  • Possum

wow this was very freaking creepy! this is the exact slow burn conceptual horror a bunch of nerds talk about liking more than slashers. it is a short movie already but probably could've been even shorter, but i just have to admire this. everything about it is clammy and weird and vile, sean harris is a magnificent physical actor. the creature design is legitimately horrific even when you're just staring at it face on. i will probably have issues closing my eyes tonight!

liked this way, way more than i thought i would. soundtrack was absolutely perfect, especially the flute

  • I'm Thinking of Ending Things

    I'm Thinking of Ending Things

gets a will gold star despite not being a 5. i think I will like it even more if I watch again but it sort of lost me in the middle-end area but reflecting on it has made almost (not quite all) everything click for me. truly something to behold, the first half is just jawdroppingly effective

  • Grizzly Man

    Grizzly Man

affected me quite a bit. my first Herzog and was blown away by how present he made himself in the documentary, really loved it. the moments of him relating to Treadwell as a filmmaker are just incredible

people in this movie talked in insanely strange ways. the coroner, his close friend, all behave in odd like semi scripted ways that I just cannot understand the cause for. it's so odd and Herzogs camera feels very cold and the pressure some of them are under is very palpable, never seen a documentary that did that
