• Scooby-Doo

alleged raunchy deleted scenes aside it’s insane how obvious it is on every level that this was originally made for like high schoolers and college kids. all of the extras look like they’re in a sum 41 video

  • Lords of Chaos

    Lords of Chaos

Not done with this yet but i’m so bored and irritated that im just reviewing it now. No interesting position taken on the scene whatsoever. no reverence for or even interest in the art, no actual condemnation of these kids, no nothing. makes perfect sense that this is Vice adjacent. parts of it look kind of nice but all of them speak in highly obnoxious and unrealistic YA prose. it isn’t sad or cool or angering or anything

i just can’t get over how little interest there even is in the music here it’s insane, why even make the movie lol

  • Trick 'r Treat

    Trick 'r Treat

perfectly captures all the random sensory data of halloween as a kid in a way few other movies do

  • Hereditary

i will forever feel privileged to have been a young person when this movie came out lol. impossible to overhype

  • Divinity

feels very confused but in its moments of lucidity it is hitting some crazy dingers. one segment at the end in particular had me absolutely beaming, i won’t spoil it but it makes the movie worth a watch on its own

i tend to really really love when a movie clearly has not the most budget to work with but tries super hard to use weird symbols and set dressing and dialogue to gesture towards a universe that you can…

  • The Blair Witch Project

    The Blair Witch Project

i hate every character in the movie except for all the damn geezers they interview in the beginning

  • Drag Me to Hell

    Drag Me to Hell

the most a movie has ever turned itself around in the last 20 minutes for me lol

  • City of the Living Dead

    City of the Living Dead

coolest zombies i’ve ever seen in a movie

  • Begotten

“I wanted Begotten to look, not as if it were from the twenties, not even as if it were from the nineteenth century, but as if it were from the time of Christ, as if it were a cinematic Dead Sea Scroll that had been buried in the sands, a remnant of a culture with customs and rites that no longer apply to this culture, yet are somewhere underneath it, under the surface of what we call ‘reality.’”

    i think…

  • The Exorcist

    The Exorcist

so scary. the shot with the statue in the room is an all time favorite

  • Funny Games

    Funny Games

pretty good to watch after watching like 15 horror movies in a row

  • Dog Soldiers

    Dog Soldiers

hahahahaha what the hell this movie rocks
