Half of the supporting cast is so unbearable that Grant and Roberts seem celestial by comparison, so maybe Grant's preoccupation with Roberts makes sense. But when Emily Mortimer conveys more intelligence and wit in her first twelve seconds of screen time than Roberts does in her first hour (not her fault, it's the script), that preoccupation becomes harder to explain.
