Holy crap, this thing is bonkers. James Wan is an absolute madman. I had heard this was wild, but I was starting to think it had been oversold because the first half is pretty slow, run of the mill psychological thriller procedural stuff. Then it turns into a pretty solid X-Files episode for a little bit until it suddenly accelerates to roughly 1,000 mph of absolutely wild shit. It is so over the top it is pretty silly, but it is so much fun.
