It's Mr. Mom without the comedy. Now, that's not bad, once you realize it's not meant to be comedy, but more of a real life drama that yes, as in life does have it's comedic moments, but like I said, it's not a comedy. Dee Wallace is a familar name to 80s horror fans, but it was nice to see her in a different role.
Yes, it's a sappy ending, but it's meant to be a TV MOVIE DRAMA...show how character A struggles, while character B has no clue, but over time character B steps into A's shoes and finds a new found respect for them. In this case makes the family closer and stronger. Cheesy, yes, but not a bad film overall.
