    [Seasons 1 & 2]

TWIN PEAKS - the soap opera of your dreams, your nightmares, and everything in between.

I haven’t seen this in many years now, and although I’ve always loved it, I connected with it so much more this time. I’m doing a complete rewatch - including reading the diary of Laura Palmer, the Final Dossier, and watching the Missing Pieces - all of which I haven’t read/watched yet.

The world of TWIN PEAKS is an unhinged reality -…

    Dancer in the Dark

DANCER IN THE DARK is an emotionally sadistic melodrama - the antithesis of a love letter to Hollywood musicals. A visceral masterpiece of naivety and misery.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE performances of all time belongs to Björk - she is incredible in this.

THE EDITING in the musical sequences hurts in the best way possible. It’s chaotic and entrancing.

I won’t say that there’s zero fun to be had with this, but for the most part it’s just not that good or interesting. Apart from a few entertaining kills, I was bored and wanted it to end.

I’m only giving this a 1 because some of the creative choices are so bad that it’s kind of impressive.

I told Siri to pick a number between 1-5. She chose 2 so I will now set a timer for two minutes. I will write the rest of this review in the allotted time until my countdown reaches zero:

It’s no surprise that this movie is garbage. It goes down the checklist of horror clichés without fail.

It’s not even remotely interesting, as it was extremely difficult for me to stay awake during. Honestly, the whole movie is just wack.…

    Annabelle Comes Home

Just the presence of Ed and Lorraine at the start fills the movie with a sense of false comfort because it makes you feel like the rest film will be in good hands.

From the start, it begs you to think back and reflect on the good times you had watching The Conjuring films. Don’t be fooled, however. It is undoubtably closer in tone and craftsmanship to the spinoff films, rather than The Conjuring films.

    There’s poor writing and awful…
