Flash 🎄’s review published on Letterboxd:
Should've watched this on the 28th of June, that would've been perfect. All's well, there is always next year.
'Portrait of a Lady on Fire' is one of two films that got me into foreign language cinema (the other being 'Parasite'), and a year after my initial watch, it is still a masterpiece of a film. The performances all round (especially the two leads) are phenomenal, the cinematography is certainly some of the best put to film, the direction from Celine Sciamma is superb. While it may not have impacted me as much as my original viewing, it is still a powerful piece of queer cinema.
