I had downgraded this a few months after my first viewing because I'm a coward unable to stand by my affection for cornball musicals but this thing still kinda goes beginning to end.

Don Hertzfeldt and his work always has a strange effect on me. Especially with his later work, the emotions don't sink in until a day later. I remember It's Such a Beautiful Day being so powerful the next day. The Meaning of Life struck a huge chord with me, but it wasn't until the next day that it really hit. World of Tomorrow just hit right...now.
Hertzfeldt can somehow mesh philosophy and emotion in a way that feels completely inventive,…
