Logan’s review published on Letterboxd:
In a year where Dune, The Green Knight and The French Dispatch all released, Spencer has somehow come out on top in terms of the audio/visual experience. This movie feels like picking up an expensive diamond and slowly learning about its history and where it came from, what it went through to get there or who might’ve had it before. Presenting itself like a fairytale of sorts (the film does state itself as a “fable of a true tragedy”) and sets up an impending doom of what’s to come but the characters decided to say “fuck the fairytale let’s get some kfc” regardless of how we know the story will end. I’m rambling again trying to sound smart but fuck, all film nerds should see this.
