Took my step-dad (Dave) to see this, and he loved it, "5 out of 5, it was great. What'd you think?" I said, "it was good, I liked it." I wasn't lying, I like this as a big Hollywood movie that exists for loads of people (including Dave) to go see in a movie theater and enjoy. Didn't love the script, though. It's only got one interesting character, it wastes time on a romantic subplot that doesn't even involve that one interesting character, it doesn't focus enough on the central crisis, and it's too long (in my opinion, of course). As a general rule, I try not to piss on Dave's parade, so we just talked about how great the action was and how good the performances were. Anyway, it was good, I liked it.
