  It has its moments, but I like the man with the mask on. This has too much Michael without a mask for me. Studio interference definitely caused issues here. You could tell Rob Zombie wasn’t all in on this one and the story got scrambled.

  I should add - the Director’s cut is a solid 3.5 or 4 out of 5. The theatrical version is bad. The unrated cut is much much better.

  A solid remake of the original. The added backstory to Michael was interesting, but maybe not for everyone. It’s a bit revisionist but it has some awesome moments with Michael - he’s as powerful as he’s ever been!

  Nolan is a master, and this cast was impeccable. I don’t think it’s a perfect 5/5, but it’s close. I would highly recommend reading up on the story first before going in to the film - you’ll get much more out of it.
