Yeah this one is still a classic. It's probably the least plot driven film in the entire franchise, which is great as it leads to minimal exposition and more character moments. The set pieces feel dynamic, not only in terms of how well shot they are but also how there's some actual variety in action. It's not the same thing over and over again, and the colorful visuals help alot too. Every frame feels like a comic book panel.
And I'll never not be impressed by James Gunn's ability to embed small as well as big character moments amongst all the huge spectacle. Every character is properly fleshed out and feels like a real person. It's honestly a crime how these characters are treated in IW/EG. Nebula and/or Drax needed that final kill against Thanos but fucking fan service is more important over story, for this company now so whatever. But yeah, love this one alot. Most emotionally charged comic book movie to date.
Fully prepared for The Suicide Squad now. Let's get it.
