Void Girl’s review published on Letterboxd:
I intended to just throw this on in the background while I got some work done but kept getting sucked into it, even though I've seen it 100 times. There aren't many perfect movies but this is one of them. I wish it hadn't spawned some of the worst sequels I've ever seen—genuinely might not even bother with the latest one—but hey, that's just the way it goes. However, they can never take away how special John Carpenter's original feels when it's pouring down with rain outside and you've got a hot cup of tea with you. An undeniable icon and genre-defining masterpiece.
