Gave this one a rewatch. Stellar acting but it's too much plot crammed into 2 hours so it didn't really work for me with its jumps back & forth in time, nor did I feel much of a real emotional connection to any of the characters. Impressive performances by Hardy & Strong in particular, though. In the end, the miniseries is SO much better.
Utterly charming fairy tale like spin on a sports romcom. No, it's not on the level of Ron Shelton but it is truly entertaining. Also, Queen Latifah is a damn Movie Star. With a game Paula Patton as her foil, she delivers a triumphant performance as a modern feminist heroine for director Sanaa Hamri.
