IMAX, wow. Such an immersive experience. Some stellar performances. I can see this cleaning up at the Oscars next’s year.

  • RoboCop

ED-209's first time in the boardroom. Poor Murphy getting shot to bits. The first suit reveal. Firing range. Dreams of a past life. Boddiker and the gang are going to get it. New guns. I'd buy that for a dollar. Face melt.

This film still holds up over 35 years later, as evidenced by our 14 year old sons' reaction. So much fun, so many memorable scenes. Effects in their day were groundbreaking. The poster still catches the eye. An 80's classic.

80's cheese but in a good way. Some fun action scenes, slightly marred by the terrible fx at the climax. Sam Elliott doing what he does best - playing Sam Elliott! OTT and implausible but does everything so tongue in cheek that it gets away with it. First time watching since the VHS rental glory days!

Brutal grindhouse style fun. OTT with loads of bloodshed. Really enjoyable!

Just back from seeing this. Probably the most tense prolonged gunplay since Hard Boiled. Loads to love here. Excellent set pieces. Outrageous stunt work. Decent Hollywood role for the legend Donnie Yen. Hard to believe him and Keanu are 59 years old! Supporting cast had some great lines. Scott Adkins πŸ˜‚.

Visually the film looked very impressive. Such fun that I could have easily gone straight back in to watch again.

Chad Stahelski has surpassed himself here. This one is getting a 4k purchase!

Seen this an uncountable number of times since childhood, and never tire of it. Shown to both of my sons at around the same age I first saw it, and they both loved it, despite it being approx 35 years old by that point. Larger than life performances from all involved. Memorable soundtrack. Mini guns, Shane Black's jokes, Billy getting spooked, Bill Duke menacing Carl Weathers. All great fun before you even get to the predator stuff! 5 star entertainment.
