One of Spielberg’s most thought provoking films. An incredible child performance. Some haunting imagery. Did not expect the last 20 minutes to go the way they did. Not necessarily a Spielberg film I would ever want to revisit, yet I feel like it will be one of his movies that sits with me the longest

Spielberg needs to work with Tom Cruise again. Between this and Minority Report he really can get a great performance out of Cruise. This is probably Spielberg’s scariest film. The representation of sheer panic is more terrifying than the aliens themselves, particularly the scene with the mob forming around the car. Even “mid tier” Spielberg is still incredible

Really reaffirms to me that Warner Bros had no clue what they were doing in 2017. Not only is this the better film, it is truly a spectacular and deep superhero movie. It's nice knowing that there is finally a Justice League movie that lives up to the hype and legacy of these characters

Night and day difference compared to the 2017 version. From the added scenes, script, color grading, and tone, it is a completely different experience. My new favorite DC film from Zack Snyder. Everything has more weight and emotion in this cut. The humor feels more natural and the performances are much better, especially Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller. It's a little long and a lot to digest, so I definitely need to rewatch it to solidify my ranking, but it's one of my favorites of the DCEU so far.
