“I'm in love with you.”

Mulholland Dr. is a dark and depressing look at Hollywood and love. So much unravels scene by scene that just leaves you in disbelief and makes you wonder what the hell you are watching but goddammit if it ain’t intriguing you at the same time though. Naomi Watts and Laura Harring are both incredible in this it’s a shame they were both snubbed out of Oscars for this cause they really bring it all especially one scene in particular that just let me speechless. Justin Theroux and everyone else are also very good in this. The way the film just unfolds with it’s story is unlike anything I’ve ever seen and it’s just so interesting to watch and see certain pieces come together and then when it gets to THAT certain point in the movie it’s just like “holy fuck what have I just witnessed”. The writing is absolutely magnificent I think it has a fantastic screenplay behind it. Angelo Badalamenti’s score is absolutely haunting it fits excellently with the scenes it presented in. David Lynch’s directing as always is absolutely stellar the way he just captivates the audience and absolutely fucks with them is so great he’s a director that loves to dare with his audience and this is a prime example of that. Not to mention the film is so beautifully shot and the cinematography good god almighty might be some of the best I’ve ever seen. Overall Mulholland Dr. I truly believe is more than just a film it’s definitely an experience unlike any other it’s an experience that will leave you speechless and just left in absolute awe of what you’ve just witnessed cause truly it’s unbelievable, masterpiece.
