I like sapphire blue more than this film. Balagov probably loves it more than this film too.

How would Camus mock Camus himself? He would cook some doroyaki and shout that he was wrong because doroyaki was the meaning of life all the time but the problem was he was not a great foodie to understand the importance of sweet beans so this even makes him regret that he made Meursault cook some eggs and eat them out of the pan while reflecting on his commitment to free will in the face of a meaningless existence.

This film reminded me of Bergman’s thoughts about Godard. From that point of view, it is possible to replace Godard with Linklater’s Waking Life. Although I don’t fully agree with Bergman’s perception of Godard, I would sheerly get on board if it was Waking Life instead.

How can you entertain while revealing tons of vulgar politics? This film and all are the answer to this question. A perfect quality that tastes same with every other product of the glamorous film factory. Once again, it is fascinating to “manufacture” a standard action film with the combination of politics and entertainment even though they often converge in daily life. This becomes much funnier when the whole political economy of such films are considered.
