John DeCarli’s review published on Letterboxd:
Really interesting to see Clair's transition to Hollywood, and the pairing works quite well! Clair maintains his light comedic touch and Hollywood applies its veneer of gloss and glamour. The story is a very entertaining proto-Bewitched with the sexpot Lake, and you can tell that Clair is having fun with the details of the witch world and the witches' transformation into humans. The smoke effects and disembodied voices housed in beer bottles is a great gag. The film is very consciously a trifle, but one that's hard to resist.
