There's this great moment where Gay Talese, in his respectable suit, sits down and tells the lady editor at the New Yorker his subject (Foos) is "not creepy."
It's great for two reasons. One, it is immediately followed by Foos giving an incredibly lurid and detailed description of watching his aunt naked through a window and masturbating. And also because the crew goes back to talk to the editor and she says that Foos is a sociopath.
Vogue's review of this piece is entitled "Voyeur, on Netflix, arrives at a Very Bad Time for Creepy Old Men" and that seems to be the right angle to take on this. Truthfully, it's a mess of conflicting emotions and stories. Foos details…
