A erotic movie that instead of using nudity, or being a thriller, uses its dialogue as a romantic prose to use said eroticism. The words in this, being primarily old English, are not used in able for wit, satire, but to strip away the use of linguistics for romantic feelings. The words are there to show how romantic the language sounds rather than the actual meaning, and there's something very sweet about that. It's also like incredibly interesting as well, as the whole erotic setup is for the woman to try to make the erotic passes at her own terms, to flirt and accept only when she feels like it. She is in power, taking away the predatory eroticism of Dafoe and stripping him away his creepy nature to reveal his romantic side. It's such a comforting movie in that sense, feeling extremely tasteful rather than gratuitous.
