Just a few minutes ago, i was notified by news reports saying Ennio Morricone, the greatest composer of all time, has passed away at 91 years of age. Absolutely heartbreaking. I'm so overwhelmed. His scores were like no other. Impeccable. Beautiful. Touching. I remember watching the GBU for the first time and being enthralled, exhilarated by hearing just a few notes of his score. I remember watching Once Upon A Time In The West and tearing up while watching the scene of Claudia Cardinale in a wagon just gracefully looking through a western town with Ennio Morricone's score soaring from the speakers into our ears and hearts.
