Started out strong and then got weaker and weaker. Really cool visuals, but to quote an old Wendy's ad: Where's the plot? At least where the fantasy scenes are concerned. Still, there are some really cool sets and great use of colors, and I'm of the mind that it's usually better for a film to be visually interesting versus narratively interesting.
There were a couple times where I genuinely couldn't understand the child actor because she talks really quietly and has an accent. I liked her at first but eventually she just became really annoying, especially towards the end when she and Lee Pace are just crying for 30 minutes.
I don't care for the shot of that guy licking the ice. Also, Governor Odious? And I don't want to give away a major plot point but let's just say there's a conveniently placed sword that made my eyes roll at least twice.
