  Feels like an attempt at a different kind of storytelling. Almost alive and structurally does stranger things than what you’d expect. Dominique Fishback is electric and her costars keep up the intensity. I’m not entirely sure what it all means and I don’t really need to. It’s not just about stan culture it’s a character study. Uses loving Beyoncé as the base for something bigger based on needing community after feeling tossed aside by the world and the fury that comes from having that source of community questioned, belittled or taken away from them. How much do you like your favorite artist? How serious are you about defending them? Who is your favorite artist?
