The story concerns a bad-tempered engineering student who becomes involved in an underground college admissions noise. It isn’t long before he and his pals become the targets of criminals and loan sharks.
GV Prakash Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon both give very good performances in their respective parts as Kanal and Ravi. Kanal is the hot-tempered engineering student who isn’t a likeable character because of his mood, while Ravi is the commanding college admission broker who certainly makes his feelings clear.
Elsewhere, Varsha Bollamma as Madhavi, Vidya Pradeep as Ravi’s wife Mona and Vagai Chandrasekhar…
The first half is pretty decent and engaging whereas the latter half is boring and felt the director found really hard to end the film.

Started off slowly and intensified after the intermission,but was let down by a mediocre climax (imo). Had so many hues of Vetri's Polladhavan. Decent.
The plot is intriguing, and I'm still perplexed as to why everyone disliked the climax. For such a narrative, I thought the ending was actually pretty decent. I wish there had been more focus on balancing the conflict and characters because it looked a little jumbled. Anyway, this was quite interesting and educational.
Mathi maaran,took out rare concept into story,it was appreciatable! In screenplay they added colour of commercial medium which applicable for mainstream to expose his idea💡 reachable, like,pollathavan.A youngster unwillingly brought into engineering college in chennai by his father's but he ready to makeup some money by forgery elements which belong with college education system.Screenplay done it but some situations are didn't wrote up very well and handle it like an easy passed away scenes,so it didn't create any impact or emotions on that lacky situations.👎 Roaring BGMs and good songs.Better cinematography.Well directed by director Mathi maaran.Good movie.
