i would like this movie. but in high school i think i gaslit myself into pretending to love it more than i did so that boys would think i was a Cool Girl.
i would like this movie. but in high school i know i saw every single frame of it in over-saturated 2010 gif form over and over and OVER again on t*mblr and i’ve been working hard to block those out.
i would like this movie. but its two taglines are “an epic of epic epicness.” and “get the hot girl. defeat her evil exes. hit love where it hurts.” makes me sick.
i would like this movie. but it heavily implies that gamers should have rights…
I relate to Scott Pilgrim because I'm
1. actually the worst
2. not good with relationships
3. a total asshole
4. afraid of confrontation
5. not worthy of the people in my life
6. ugly
7. good at kicking ass
"it's milk and eggs, bitch" is forever and always the best line of any movie ever made
It took me about five viewings to realize that just watching Young Neil in the background of every scene is funnier than most other movies

genuinely don’t know how to discuss this one without just spewing love love love for it. one of the most prominent movies i can recall that sincerely hasn’t gotten old since i first saw it in theaters over a decade ago. and revisiting that theater experience tonight was so much fun, me with my big bucket of popcorn and a huge grin plastered across my face when i wasn’t mouthing all the funniest lines or silently drumming along to the music. movies are SO fun sometimes (this one especially!!) and it’s very fun to simply love a movie
can you believe this movie has:
•mary elizabeth winstead
•the zelda fairy fountain theme
•a lesbian who kicks the shit out of michael cera
•brie larson singing in those red boots
•an idiot dudeboy protagonist who recognises his immature behavior and takes responsibility for his dumb decisions
•more coherency than anything from marvel or dc
•"milk and eggs, bitch"
