Saw this movie at "Atlantico Festival" in Bologna, September 2018. We were lucky to watch the movie with the director who explained us something about his work.
Although it might seem close to La Haine, Rage is more of an attempt to discuss what it feels like to be a "mixed-race" person. Jamie, whose nickname is Rage, has white skin but is son to a black man. He therefore likes to think of himself as a black guy.
As he lives a strong crisis he looks for an answer to the most classical of all questions: "Who am I?". This movie is an attempt to talk about all of the kids of imperialism and globalization: races and culture are getting mixed, what are we supposed to do with that?
