MANGA SICK. Nerd's love or the graphic novel romance. Did you know the soul of the shared arts? The heartfelt in the absurdist romantic comedies? The charmful animated special effects? Or the manga drawings that make their cosplayers? To those who prefer the cover of Wave of Mutilation by Number Girl over the original by the Pixies, I know who you are... (but you're still cool though, haha)
Another one of those underrated Japanese comedies full of weird and quirky characters, struggling with life and society, a film stuffed with tons of details and made with love. Great cameo by Shinya Tsukamoto aswell.
Not the best film in the world, but very well worth watching.
This film not only boasts Shinya Tsukamoto in a bit part, but an Hideaki Anno cameo as well. That tells you all you need to know, I suppose.
Absolutely outlandish in the best way. Works far too well on far too many levels - comedy, romance, drama. An incredibly fun watch with enjoyable characters and a fantastic soundtrack.
Pure fucking nonsense, but this might be the funnest nonsense I've seen in a long time.
Despite knowing nothing about the manga this is based on Otakus in Love is an oddball epic of silly, giddy and unpredictable proportions.
This movie is a romantic comedy for nerds. It does a very good job at being just that. Very interesting cinematography, I love how they frame up some shots like it came from out of a manga. If you wanna feel that warm fuzzy feeling you get watching two people fall in love, and you like nerdy ass shit. give this one a watch.
manga falan okumadım hiç ama ilginçmiş. hideaki anno cameosu var. birçok tatlış matlış bir şeyler var.
birinin sanatınıza inanması en güzel şeylerden biri btw.
Otakus and their love for manga and cosplay. This movie is a romantic comedy for nerds and is japanese nonsense at its best.
