Birth year challenge 12/24
Shades of Edward Yang here, the focus on wide shots, long takes and listless, frustrated teens.
I'm honestly having trouble summing up how much I enjoyed this, really fell into the world of the film
The 'Baguette' scene was actually hilarious, took me totally off guard as did the 'exorcism' scene; simultaneously funny and sad, imliping so much pain and resentment.
Does a great job at showing how lonely the Meili's are before they meet, takes a good third of the film to get to that point.
I'd love to know what the letter said (my version of the film didn't have subtitles for it but also was cool not knowing and having to guess)…
