A cop charged with fighting the scourge of overpopulation is haunted by the human toll of his work.
The first half is a little bumpy, I don't think the singer character adds anything to this episode. Could've cut her part and focus more on the main character.
I loved this short film and it is definitely the best of the series yet.
The story was dark and disturbing, while having some great ideas about a future where people live forever and having children is illegal.
I found the idea interesting and thought provoking and the short film was full of shocking moments. Our main character is a child preventer or what you would call him, but he slowly starts to question the morality of his job.
The short film had a nice message and made some great points about the value of life and the necessity of death, while also being full of emotion.
The animation looked fantastic and is probably my favorite of the series too.
Overall just a fantastic episode that I would love to see made into a full length movie.

Today: Love, Death & Robots: Pop Squad
Hi everybody, honestly we have a weakness for dystopian stories, for provocative cyberpunk tales that revolve around futuristic towering cities, hover cars and bright neon light and yet they often hold a mirror up to our society today.
You don't have to travel into the future to get a glimpse of the lack of humanity there is but it doesn't hurt (at least not us) to develop further thoughts about what could be and how to solve problems we haven't found solutions for, yet. Overpopulation and its "solution" taken to the extreme - we can witness one of the most morally reprehensible storylines…
A Squad polices overpopulation,
With some over-the-top dedication.
Being Blade Runner,
Doesn't sound funner,
Creating a devastating combination.
This episode gave me strong Blade Runner 2049 vibes. And I’m sure this would’ve worked pretty good as a live action movie, with the same slow pacing, great visuals and soundtrack and the nice Cyberpunk setting.
This show is so good!
people fail to realise that what’s actually selfish is having kids knowing fully well they will most likely get killed
A man struggles with his mortality as a result of his morbid job.
A real high of the series, the story that highlights life and why we make life shows a lot of respect towards human nature, while also showing us the worst. Coupled with amazing hyper-relistic animation it makes for a pretty amazing 18 minute short.
Academy Award goes to the toy store that is somehow still running seemingly years after children have been outlawed...
