After crash-landing on a craggy planet, a pilot makes his way to shelter, only to face a threat within.
Honestly think that this would be better if hand drawn. The cgi animation adds nothing and just made this episode lifeless.
Legitimate question:
Michael B. Jordan? Or Michael B. 3D Jordan? I honestly couldn't tell.

Today: Love, Death & Robots: Life Hutch
Hi everybody, when you do guess working whether it's animated or not for the whole 13 minutes. But Michael B. Jordan's hyper realistic face that conveys every single emotion perfectly is not the only highlight. Hindsight is easier than foresight and now we know what we've missed all the time in the first season: epic space fights. The downside is that the battle scenes reminiscent of "Mass Effect" are not very long and the focus is clearly on Jordan's current situation rather than his way to it.
One thing you definitely can't blame the episode for, it absolutely managed to create a great…
This was like a better and more serious version of “Automated Customer Service” (the first episode of the season) in space.
The animation was great and looked very realistic with a very lifelike Michael B. Jordan as the main character.
The short film had some good tension and a unpleasant scene of a hand being crushed, which was all very well made and I find it to be another enjoyable short film.
Michael B. Jordan finds a "Hutch",
Which after a crash is pretty clutch.
But this shelter has got,
An aggressive robot,
Which might be deadly to the touch.
At first I was like, "Is that Michael B. Jordan?" Then I was like, "That is Michael B. Jordan and also this episode sucks."
Life Huch
Genfangen des eigenen Fortschritts,
Der in Ketten gelegte Mensch.
Die Stille der Trumpf,
Zum Schlachtplan des Sieges.
Gesplitterte Finger mal drei,

Boring, half cooked and unoriginal, Life Hutch has no life at all. Even a gloriously beautiful 3D Michael B Jordan couldn't wire this episode to balance.
Couldn't tell if this was live action or animation..
That's how good the animation was.

A really exciting and thrilling episode with a few nice ideas and a few really brutal moments. Overall, this episode is undoubtedly very entertaining with great pictures and an exciting plot. But even if the episode is quite nice, that certain something is missing. Because the episode only looks like a cut from a movie, although the connection is simply missing.
The animation in this episode looks really remarkable again. So of the eight episodes from season 2, the animation is clearly the best. Everything looks damn detailed and realistic, so that it enhances the episode again.
So overall, the episode is definitely exciting and entertaining, but unfortunately the episode looks more like an excerpt from a movie and therefore not very independent.
Exactly the type of stuff I hated from the first season. Bland, uninteresting, and flaccid. The animation is quite exceptional, but so what? I've seen this same story done a million times, even from past episodes of the series, seeing it through a clean animated lense doesn't change anything.
