"There's a lot of SPACE out there to get LOST IN"
The first 45 minutes is good fun with exciting direction from genre workman Stephen Hopkins. It's serviceable pop sci-fi. But then when they start the marooned island part of the Swiss Family Robinson story, it goes fairly haywire, and doesn't seem like it knows how to tell that story either narratively nor visually, and you can unfortuantely feel the confusion on screen.
What worked 100% of the time for me, was actually the performance of Matt LeBlanc. Whether this enjoyment was ironic or not, I can't tell, but it doesn't matter. He knew what movie he was in and it was never too much, rather just enough.
