Surprisingly, Robert Luketic's "Killers" is not bad. The action-infused domestic comedy, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, may look like Hollywood corporate fluff; but, almost impressively, that corporate fluff is refreshingly engaging.
Kutcher and Heigl play a couple whose meet-cute and subsequent marriage are interrupted by the male half's job as an assassin. His career, which he tries to put to bed, causes domestic bliss to become troublesome, and the two are forced to dodge all manner of political and ammunition-based intrigue.
The story holds no surprises, but it is a sturdy-enough foundation for Luketic's effective mix of lightweight romance and mid-level action. Kutcher and Heigl do not generate much heat or chemistry, but each provides enough personality to make…
