As a result of being based on semi-fact, this film has far better character development than your regular Lifetime/Hallmark-film. That's not saying a whole lot, because Mephgan and Harry are sanctimonious as fuck and everyone's moods swing from one extreme to another. Still, casting was decent and I love how they had to make someone in the inner circle a villain and so they settled on Kate (whom they obviously made a saint out of in the Will & Kate-Lifetime film back in 2011), and they couldn't face making William bald and so they gave him much more hair than his real-life counterpart.
I can't really justify watching this as an anti-monarchist but I can't resists the American bastardisation (the costume department didn't even get the memo about Prince George and shorts). I enjoyed this, together with the wedding special of 'The Windsors', more than the actual wedding.
