  Weirdly enough really dug the first half—Rodriguez mostly stays out of the way of Tarantino’s writing and Clooney performs the hell out of it—but the transition to horror is a total whiff imo. Rob just caves to his usual impulses and deploys some gratuitous schlock with a wink. I admire the commitment to the bit but I find this kind of irony pretty exhausting pretty fast, and kind of a downer for bringing that genuinely well ratcheted tension to a halt. Also, almost every performance pre-vampires is good, and completely terrible post-vampires. Killer (and genuinely scary) final shot tho. Where’s that movie?

  Camp at it's finest!

  I'm convinced Quentin Tarantino didn't even play a character, he just played himself.

  From Dusk Till Dawn is by far one of the best B-Movies I've seen. It's a whole lot of fun!

  Tarantino definitely still be jerking off to the fact that he wrote a scene in this where Salma Hayek pours tequila down her leg and forces a guy to drink it by sucking on her toes (all while doing a sexy table dance) and then cast himself in that role. What a power move.

  From Dusk Till Dawn is a fun grindhouse double-feature crammed into one movie, tho i prefer the first half. Clooney does all the heavy lifting in this movie and gives a hell of a movie star performance. Tarantino is pretty bad at acting but his best performance by far is in this movie, where he's playing a creepy serial killer with foot fetish.
  And Salma Hayek dance on there alone makes it worth watching. Look I'm not saying I back Tarantino for writing a scene into a movie where Hayek stuck her feet into his mouth all I'm saying is I understand.
