A documentary which deals in Bond'ian broad strokes, dipping its toes into a 23 movie deep franchise, skimming the surface and never truly splurging to the mirky depths.
But you know what?
... that's ok.
I'm a massive Bond fan, ritualistically re-watching the films with each new entry. Seen every DVD documentary, read every Fleming novel and a few making-of books too. This takes a wealth of cool facts and executes them with style and a sense of fun.
Things that come across in this doc:
Sean Connery seems like a total dick.
George Lazenby fights back tears of regret (probably daily).
Roger Moore... loveable rogue... definitely NOT James Bond though.
Timothy Dalton definitely didn't do enough of these films!…
