Tom Shaydyac's "Bruce Almighty" provides everything one might assume a studio comedy featuring Jim Carrey as a man who gains the powers of God would provide. There is the typical studio gloss, Carrey charisma/craziness, and lessons about using the power of good for good. Thankfully, it is all pretty funny and makes for an enjoyable comedy.
After being passed over for a promotion at a TV news station, Carrey's Bruce goes into an angry tirade where he curses the creator in wrathful tailspin.
