This movie is a revenge thriller about a vagrant looking to take revenge on the person that killed his parents years ago and once the killer is released from prison, our main anti-hero loses it.
There’s tons of brilliance here, but the reason I couldn’t vote it higher is because:
This isn’t an abstract context: this is revenge.
Scenes dragged on too long, it needed to be condensed.
The sound score and gore is incredible, but it drags way too much for a revenge film.
Our lead protagonist/anti-hero speaks for about only 15 lines in a 90 minute runtime (due to symbolism of his loneliness or inability to socialize) which is interesting but, still, causes it to feel…
