They got to spend their days gossiping, riding in carriages, frolicking in lakes naked, playing tennis, reading books, traveling to Greece or Florence or wherever your heart desired, walking through fields of barley and poppies.
I'm a big fan of British period pieces like this, because you typically get some really well-written characters and great performances from the cast, with some funny scenes as well. A Room with a View has all of this going for it. The first 20 minutes is a little boring, but it starts to pick up momentum as you spend more time with the characters.
