Wish this was longer. Adds a lot of significance to the opening scene of 2049. It made me feel so much worse for Sapper considering that he outed himself to save someone.
The production value is great, Bautista is great. It’s a nice and well put together short that isn’t required viewing to understand 2049 but gives a lot of depth to that featured character in the opening. Luke Scott did a solid job here, I may have to check out his feature debut, Morgan sometime soon.
I’m watching 2049 for the umpteenth time right now and ordering the new Mondo reissue of the film’s score at noon, as soon as it goes on sale. Had my birthday a few days ago and I’m craving all the Blade Runner I can get so I think I’m gonna check out that new comic too, the first issue of which actually came out on my birthday.
