Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
Like a Hawks movie done as anime. The mix of the rise of fascism background with Porco very specific world (not just the fantasy elements, but all the rules the organize his existence) plays great. This is not the only Miyazaki movie haunted by the specter of war, but filtering it through Porco gives it an extra lift. I love the blues in the sky and the sea. On pure formal terms, the plane action might be the best thing Miyazaki ever did.
