Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
It is nowhere near as destructive as Duck Soup and Horse Feathers, but this can get underrated among the more hardcore Marx fans because despite MGM gloss shortcomings, A Night at the Opera does contains some of the sharpest writing on Marx brothers film. Everyone who complains there’s too much Allan Jones has a fair point. Under Sam Wood conservative control, the Marx Brothers do go from overthrowning the world order one gag at time, to tiny reformists. A win for the establishment.
