for all the hamfisted trump stuff i will still go to bat for knives out because i do think it's a well constructed mystery film. this however... blech. the mystery here is just a whole lot of nothing which is why it depends on SO MUCH FUCKING BUILD UP to even get to it and thus leaves you mostly with the bland satire about musk style billionaires. the cast is trying their best. much love to big dave and janelle monae especially but this really does feel like a direct to netflix sequel. better luck next time rian
