My friends hated this movie and I can understand why, it's borderline torture porn and it's one of the hardest movies i've ever watched. But I feel there's something there, even if I didn't quite get it the first watch (and only time i will).

It's hard for me to rate it, I loved the begining of the movie but halfway through it stops abruptly, and stays torturing Anne for way too long, its quite overdone. But I didn't…

  • The Shining

    The Shining

I don't know, something about this movie isn't quite clicking for me, maybe its the age, or the lack of explicity, or the fact that its something entirely different from the book, but I found myself quite disconected
throughout the film, and not scared at all.

Its visuals are astonishing tho, the vibe of the Overlook and the set design is fantastic, Jack Nicholson is absolutely insane (literally) and Kubrick's eye for detail is undeniably unique, but the plot doesn't do it at all for me.

1st film of Super Fachas' 31 days of horror 2022

  • Scream

First of all, this movie doesn't know what subtlety is at all. It's too self aware and sometimes that's a good thing but other times it pushes the meta thing too far for my taste. The constant horror movies references and attempted subvert of expectations didn't really work for me, it tried too hard to be clever and deeper than other slashers but ended up being just another slasher, but this time, the scriptwriter wanted to tell us and…

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I rewatched it and it's still one of the best Marvel movies but I can't ignore the clichés and the extensive exposition I ignored on my first watch, watching it cold makes it not as good but still pretty great.

  • King Richard

    King Richard

It was nice I enjoyed it.

  • Nightmare Alley

    Nightmare Alley

Nightmare Alley is a really good film, with good acting, directing and specially set design (or locations or whatever I just really liked the places)

But it's just that. Good. Other than that, it's a story that's been told a million times in different ways and sometimes even better, like yeah we get it, greed is bad.

It's got its cool things, like that sort of circular structure and interesting metahpores, and Bradley Cooper honestly does an amazing job, that…

  • The Lost Daughter

    The Lost Daughter

Really liked Maggie's direction, and Olivia Coleman's performance is fantastic, so much is expressed without being said.

Olivia Coleman's character is truly interesting and after the movie finished I didn't know if I empathized with her or just kinda hated her, understanding how motherhood can be so hard, specially for women who are just not the kind of person that should be mothers ever, but at the same time not being able to forgive her for her actions.

    I feel

  • Rocketman

This is way better than Bohemian Rhapsody.
Taron Egerton did an amazing job, truly underestimated.
I do feel like the movie moves a bit too fast at times, never settles and let us soak in everything that happened.
Like it'll show you a full hour of intense madness and then don't stop to realize how much of an excess everything has been. It feels like it has no climax because it doesn't ever changes its pace again after the first…

  • The Power of the Dog

    The Power of the Dog

I just saw Bennedict Cumberbatch's butt?

  • Silver Linings Playbook

    Silver Linings Playbook

This is a really solid movie, with a really solid screenplay.

J Lo and Bradley Cooper were amazing, specially Lawrence.

It starts amazing but I feel it falls off towards the end, kinda looses it's identity and ends up being a bit cliché, although it is truly enjoyable and I feel like there's quite a lot to unpack from this film, definitely one of those films you have to rewatch to try and get the whole picture.

  • The Green Knight

    The Green Knight

I didn't understand shit but this has to be one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen in my life.

  • Alien

I can't BELIEVE how good this films look for it's time. If you told me this was shot in 2015 i'd believe you instantly.
Technically this movie is as close to perfect as you can possibly get. The lights, cinematograhpy, photography, directing... Everything it's just perfect.
But it is not scary anymore, the puppets, although pretty impressive still, feel so out of place in comparison to how good everything looks in here. Every time the Alien showed up, the magic vanished for me... And that's kind of a big deal considering the movie is called "Alien"

I still really liked it tho.
