I really really enjoyed that. Granted is a romcom it's meant to be enjoyable but I found it quite original with it's back and forth storytelling and the day numbers to identify each storyline.

Dialogue is sharp and fun although a bit cliché and cheesy sometimes (it is a romcom after all) but I laughed out loud at some of the jokes, the humor is smart and refreshing, Chloe's character was a blast.

The best aspect of it is…

  • Swiss Army Man

    Swiss Army Man

    ★★★★

    8.5/10

This is unironically one of Daniel Radcliffe's best performances

I really liked this, one of the most original things I've seen but I don't know why it falls short for me emotionally, even if I liked the theme and the message, it didn't land for me.
The ending was a bit weird, don't know how I feel about it.

Still really really good, I should watch it again.

    2017? Fuck

After watching Love and Thunder revisiting this movie brings out the flaws in LaT and the things Ragnarok did really good, it's great to compare the two of them since they have such similar tones, but you can tell how Taika took all the wrong lessons from this to LaT.

I remember Ragnarok being super silly and funny but after seeing Love and Thunder I gotta say, this movie really knows how to balance the jokes and…

  • Top Gun: Maverick

    Top Gun: Maverick

    ★★★★

This was quite good, loved the jet scenes (of course) and was really entertained for the whole thing.
Didn't really like the script tho, generic inspirational dialogues and the relationship between Goose and Maverick felt kinda weird. I guess I had forgotten that in the end, it is a blockbuster, I don't know why I expected this to be something different or groundbreaking somehow.
I am really thankful it is not filled with CGI and that really makes for such an interesting and fun experience, I think that does take it above the rest of the movies of it's genre.

  • My Neighbor Totoro

    My Neighbor Totoro

    ★★★★

This was such a beautiful film I want to have kids just so I can show it to them and I'll be the stupid dad that's crying through half the movie.

PS. That cat bus is creepy as hell but sick as fuck
